Let me cut straight to the three awful truths that transcended this year's car show for me:
- The one car I am most interested in buying next, the Chevy Volt, WAS NOT THERE. Not even in prototype form.
- The Nissan GTR, "Godzilla", while a towering technical achievement and fundamentally awesome car, looks kind of "meh" in person. Only car geeks will notice that it's not a 370Z if it drives by.
- NO CHEVY VOLT!!! Pissed me off enough to be mentioned twice. Seriously - it is supposed to be a game changer. Why the hell wouldn't they play the damn game with the actual fans (granola-crunching tree-hugging left-coasters)?
OK. Fine. Lacking any serious reason to consider the cars, what follows is actually a combination of Rorshach and associative test. I'll flash up a car I saw, and then babble on about the first thing that comes to my mind.
