2016.10.08 Trumping Thought 2

After Trump's most recent example of blatant misogyny, I was a bit slow on the uptake. Because of course that's something he would say, and exactly like many other nasty narcissistic utterances he's non-thought out loud. I was un-moved, because it aligned perfectly well with my (biased and arrogantly usually-correct) perception of Donald Trump. Why would more of the same horrific Trump-ness matter?

Because right now, in this election cycle, a significant population of conservative morally-conscientious religious voters have been holding their noses and thinking hard about voting for Trump. And they wanted to think that they were voting for somebody who could be the head of the more-Conservative party in the US, as flawed as he might be. But this fresh batch of proof of steaming misogyny rubs those very same noses that they've been holding. This, THIS, is what you are proposing best represents you. It could be telling.

My conceptualization of this was shifted when someone suggested that it is no longer a matter of how misogynist a candidate, but a question of how misogynist an electorate.
