2016.03.13 Being Violet
Being Violet sometimes means gathering your ponies to harvest the power of a sunbeam to transform it into "pony tea". The pony tea is consumed greedily as tribute to the various feats of strength the attending ponies perform in turn.
Being Violet means insisting on wearing your Princess Elsa Dress every day for a month, and thereby inspiring most of the other girls and some of the boys to wear similar special clothes too. It also means having the only mark of injury after falling flat on her face while running down a sidewalk is a scratch on her upper lip, while leaving the chin and nose miraculously unscathed.
Being Violet means climbing out on the precarious section of the climbing structure, strikingly backlit by the sunset, and proclaiming with profound joy "Imma gonna jump!"
Being Violet means turning your "scratchy blanky" into a cape so you can be a super hero so you can save your baby dragon, and to use your powers of cuteness to demand cheesy noodles and peas for dinner.
Being Violet is going to a birthday party where they have face painting, and after the other girls ask for ponies and kittens on their faces to demand a spider.
Being Violet is to accidentally honour her Auntie Melissa - the original spiderbaby.
