That oddly-blotchy fat digit? It's my pinkie.
I remember reading Alan Moore's Watchmen, and thinking about how effective Rorschach's manipulation of pinkies was. The whole concept is much less comic-y for me now. This is - what? - the third time I've bailed at the 90o turn at the bottom of the rock garden leading to the bridge along the Hide & Seek trail at Sandy Ridge. You'd think I'd learn to unclip for that - or even walk it - instead of finding myself looking at the last segment of my pinkie finger jutting sideways at an odd angle.
Then there was the special fun of wrenching on it to straighten it. Except, of course, that didn't work the first time. Had to yank a lot harder than I would have suspected. Can't say I recommend the experience.
But the worst part? It's my ENTER pinkie. And I'll be damned if I can make myself unlearn using it.
