Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Behold the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex, making itself comfortable at its new home. Or, rather, a 24-year-old Toyota pickup truck that I've purchased for commuting and errands parked in front of the NesT. The name "Tyrannosaurus Rex" was assigned by the previous owner (a movie camera operator named Moira), supposedly because she thought the truck was old enough to be a dinosaur. But, clearly, also because the name is so appositely ridiculous.

While the T-Rex is so completely the opposite of Richthofen in terms of speed, power, practicality, and even colour, there is one thing in harmony between the two. Money. T-Rex cost less than one years set of tires for Richthofen. Indeed, T-Rex costs about as much as the money I'll save by changing the insurance on Richthofen from commuter to pleasure use only. And that's not even starting to talk about projected maintenance costs or fuel costs.

So, welcome T-Rex, and thank you for saving my Porsche.
