So, after adjusting our budget according to recent developments, one particular house that previously seemed too small now appeared to be the best option for us. Great location, incredibly well-maintained and appointed, and a garage that ranked as an 11 out of ten. So we decided to try for it, taking advantage of difficult economic times to test the situation with a lowball offer...

That day, there were four other offers submitted on the house. So much for the lowball. Instead we submitted the best we thought we could do.

And we lost.
