I can hardly stop fiddling with the ring, due to the heavy weight of significance and the powerful buoyant emotions it is connected to.

Holy crap. I'm married.

She married me!

What a wedding. It was beauty inlaid with love and poignancy, woven with our lifelong dreams. It still amazes me at how I managed to hold back from openly weeping with joy every few minutes of it. OK, sure, I'm given to openly weeping - after all, I was sobbing when the Enterprise exploded in the Search For Spock. Still, it was simply wonderful.

And it was far from an accidental event. So, please permit me an incomplete giving of thanks as I can remember things...

First and foremost is my wife. Not only did she tirelessly do the lion(ess)'s share of the planning and organizing, her resplendent heart-thumping beauty in her wedding dress was the shining central glory of everything. Hopefully our time together will eventually permit me to fully express to you my sincere thanks.

Dave and Bonnie went through a great ordeal to stand up for me at the wedding, not the least of which being the years-long struggle of being my dearest friends (and humoring me by wearing kilts). Thank you both, for really there isn't anyone else who could take your place.

The ceremony simply wouldn't be complete without my mom and dad, and seeing their obvious pride and adoration for the whole marriage is precious to me beyond reckoning. Thank you for being there in all the ways you were.

We were all enriched by the manifold generosity of David and Joyce. They drove across most of the continent to be with us and endured emotional burdens to deliver us their invaluable support, wisdom, and love. Thank you for all of it.

Win and John brought us their indispensable assistance and care, and helped make the whole event complete. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Returning to her one-time home for the ceremony, my new grandmother gave the occasion an important connection to our family's past. Thank you for being with us.

It was particularly special to have my sister and her family trek from darkest BC to share the occasion with me and their new sister/aunt. It reminded me about how much I'd like to renew our relationship. Thanks Melissa.

Also great was having Jesse and Jade and their family with us. Jesse was already like a brother to me so it's quite appropriate to make it be true. Jesse and Jade, you guys rock! ,\m/

And the gorgeous bridesmaids, Brook and Jill! There's no way you could have been any more fantastic.

Egad. There's just too many. The Third Stooge - Lou, the infamous Ulrich, the marvelous Mikey, Alexis and Josh, Mira and Ken, the Toners, the Nordstroms, the Woods, the Plowheads. The hospitable Fosters and Luttmers! Thank you, all of you, for making it such a memorable experience by virtue of your participation.
