I recently phoned my mom. There was no answer at the main line. So I tried the cell phone she rarely turns on, just in case.

Hearing my dead father's voice after 5 years was kind of... awesome. And also caused me to burst into tears at my desk, which is awkward when you have a standing desk in a cubicle farm with walls that only come up to your armpit.
So, I did the obivous thing:
I downloaded a call recorder for Skype, and I collected a copy of the message. To keep and cherish forever.
Note to self: I need to remember to record myself more for Simon and Violet to remember me.
