Daddy Day-Care Friday had sort of fizzled in terms of how much work I was getting done anyway, mostly because of how freaking gorgeous the weather was outside. So I decided to wash Richthofen.
As I carried Simon in the crook of my arm out to the garage, it occurred to me that he's never actually been in Richthofen. So, the associated image is Simon's first time in the Porsche. He seemed to like it. It's possible that his expression reflects his instinctive understanding of the hallowed nature of the Stuttgart Steed, but I may be just projecting.
Actually, even better was when I sat him in the middle of the back yard while I went to work washing the Porsche, allowing Simon the alone time he apparently needed. Perhaps his contentedness was aided by the fistfulls of grass and dirt that he jammed into his mouth while I wasn't looking.
