Snapped this picture today of Simon while putting him in his neglectulum (carseat).
I calmly went to the front seat, and asked S if she was ready for something mindblowingly cute. She nodded casually. In a further attempt to impress upon her the need for preparation, I instructed her to take a deep cleansing breath. She did that, with a wryly arched eyebrow indicating that she was tolerating my game. Then I showed her the picture.
She shrieked.
It probably would have been better if I had waited until after she had fastened her seatbelt. She commenced swaying about wildly, trying to find the optimum angle at which to view the iPhone screen in the dappled glaring daylight, all the while crooning and babbling punctuated with additional shrieks. Her babbling eventually focussed itself into begging for me to get a copy of the image to her as soon as possible, a plea that she repeated over and over with mild variations.
Clearly, the image melted her brain.
