Existence is largely a matter of perception. If you fail to note the rhythmic passage of details in your life, they slip past mostly unnoticed and too-easily forgotten. If you continually soothe your nostalgia by making do with mediocre trivialities, you might become too numb to the drive to have more purposeful ambition.

And that's why I've started construction on a nuclear-powered spaceship in my garage.
