The piles of truck orders had accumulated suddenly with a great certainty that I would have to come in over the weekend to mop it up. As I struggled under that pile, I received a string of annoying-question-calls from dealers and sales reps. Additionally, I needed to plow through a pile of problems left behind by Angie, the lady who does the engine programming for us. I was well into my grit-my-teeth phase of coping.<br /> <br /> As if on cue, I received a call from North Final - they needed an altered engine parameter sheet. When I completed it, I decided to run it out to them personally instead of sending it by e-mail or by gofer - I could use the break from my desk.<br /> <br /> The final assembly area is at the direct opposite side of the manufacturing facility from where the engineering office is, so I got to stroll down the length of the main production line on my way. As I went, I recognised several of the trucks as specs that I had worked on - and felt a certain amount of pride and accomplishment. Just as the grin was spreading on my face, the incidental music began.<br /> <br /> The production workers listen to the radio over the din of their labours. It just so happened that The Tragically Hip started playing. New Orleans Is Sinking.<br /> <br /> Oh yeah. I love that song. Apparently, I&#039;m not the only one. Pretty much everyone started doing &quot;a little dance shig&quot; - including me.<br /> <br /> &lt;i&gt;Ooooooooh NO! Nooooooooh YEAH! &lt;br&gt;<br /> My memory is muddy, what&#039;s this river that I&#039;m in? New Orleans is sinkin&#039; man, I and I don&#039;t wanna swim!&lt;br&gt;<br /> SWIM!&lt;/i&gt;</div>
