I ate way too much cake, as is my duty.<br /> <br /> Not only were there adoring parents, and not only were there cooing grandparents, there were cousins. Two boys, aged 9 and 10, and Simon simply couldn&#039;t get enough of them. He found himself not assuming that they would wait for him or pick him up, so he became much more ambitious with his locomotion. He also felt like contributing more than simple commands, possibly because the cousins wouldn&#039;t really listen to simple commands, so Simon also started trying to express more complicated language. <br /> <br /> Clearly, Simon has gained a stage of Little Boy.<br /> <br /> And there was Simon&#039;s uncle and aunt, who were also a hit with Simon, but the rest of us were also pleased to be able to spend some time with them.</div>
