	If you've been on earth for any significant amount of time, you will have noticed that there is a large number of semi-intelligent monkeys hogging most of the surface and the bulk of the natural resources. These semi-intelligent largely-bald monkeys seem to have this strange obsession with explaining things. A small number set about to explain things in a rigorously logical manner, and try to make sense of things based on what they can test. Since this is a rather slow and difficult way to explain things, the vast majority seem to just make explanations up that sound nice. Well, at least that's the way things seem to me; and that's my introduction to my own personalized religion.

There's a lot of religions out there, but if you take a good look you'll notice that most of them aren't very much fun. They're all about idle speculation and convincing yourself of the unprovable. This is all well and good, if you take comfort or enjoyment in that sort of thing. Heck, I don't pretend to be able to disprove any of it - almost anything could be correct. That's not the point.

The point is that even though there's a lot of choice, there aren't any popular religions that appeal to me. It may be that by being popular, I'm not appealed by them, but that's another conversation. I was wondering about my apparent lack of any interest in religion, when I started thinking about what a religion actually is. The dictionary spat out this:
#A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
#A cause, a principle, or an activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
I found myself struck with the ramifications of the second definition. If it doesn't need to explicitly pertain to what I believe, or necessarily require a leap of faith, then I could be much closer to religion than I had previously thought.

In fact, if you consider my life in general, there are a couple fundamental causes, principles and activities that I pursue with zeal and conscientious devotion. Yes, indeed, the Claytanic Cult is a reality, even if it only has a following of one. That is really the way it should be, for it is generally safer for everyone if there's just one priest praying to the spirits of speed with offerings of adrenalin.
